About Band:

The Mandrakes are four friends. If not playing, they are more often than not hanging out together in various corners of London educating each other with their latest musical finds, taking in gigs etc.

Using harmony vocals on most songs and with dual lead guitars in their arsenal, the Mandrakes are becoming a formidable live band and are only just scratching the surface as regarding their recordings, where more than a hint of experimenting goes on. Happy to bang out 3 minute symphonies or let their Davis/Coltrane inspired muse lead them to uncharted waters, there really isn't a bag to put them in and there certainly isn't another band like them out there anywhere at present.

With new recordings being completed, a new batch of songs already starting to drip into the live set & plenty of offers for dates at London's top venues, interest from radio & labels, 2007 is turning into a larger playground than 2006 for The Mandrakes, get along and join in!
